Statue of soldier with broken sabre at Boulevard Raspail, close the exit of the Notre-Dame-des-Champs metro station.
The monument to Captain Alfred Dreyfus was created by Louis Mitelberg, called Tim, in 1988. Captain Dreyfus was a Jewish soldier accused and convicted of treason in 1894. He was thought to be the author of various notes to the Germans giving military secrets. Years later new evidence came to light, which was suppressed. As a result, Emile Zola wrote his open letter to the government "J'accuse - I accuse", which was published 13 January 1898.
Finally in 1906, Captain Dreyfus was exonerated and made a Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur.
The copy of this bronze statue stands at the entrance to the Museum of Jewish Art and History.
