The stone bust with the inscription "Au poète Gabriel Vicaire 1848 - 1900" has been erected in the Jardin du Luxembourg.

The statue was created by Jean-Antoine Injalbert in 1902.

Gabriel Vicaire wrote - amongst other works - ''Emaux bressans'' which is a book of poems characterized by the gaiety and spirit of the old French chansons.
