The statue of Marguerite de Provence (1221 - 1295) by Honoré Jean-Aristide Husson (1847) is Jardin du Luxembourg. Marguerite was the queen consort of Louis IX of France. She followed him on one of his crusades to Egypt. During that time she had three of his eleven children.
She stands, one hand clsping the other and her cape gathered at her left hip.
