In a corner of the Jardin des Tuileries you see a fallen tree with some strong roots.

Most people seeing this sculpture of a large tree baring its roots have to look twice before realising that it is in fact a bronze statue. Maybe that is why the artist called his piece L'arbre des Voyelles (1999) - The Tree of Vowels. Oh - it is a statue...

Guiseppe Penone called on the talents of landscape architect Pascal Cribier to blend in his art in a natural setting, which worked perfectly. The sculpture is hiding in plein sight.
